Our client is a fintech startup that built a contact book for finance professionals. After acquisition, the product became part of a fintech communication suite alongside a chat and a walkie-talkie app, with the contact book serving as the shared directory layer. We built the product and supported the integration.

Contacts in the app are described by a large, evolving set of attributes, and users search across arbitrary combinations. The data model had to absorb new attribute types without schema rework, and query speed had to hold as filtering criteria stacked up.
Built the data layer on PostgreSQL using the Entity–Attribute–Value model — a well-established fit for data with many heterogeneous attributes. Added new attribute types without restructuring the database.
